Giuliano Di Ienno is an Italian-born saxophonist, conductor, and music educator based in Melbourne, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Music (2013) and a Master of Music (2015) in Saxophone from the Conservatorium of Music “Luisa D’Annunzio” in Pescara, Italy, and has further refined his artistry through participation in numerous international saxophone masterclasses.

As a performer, Giuliano has received several first prizes in national and international competitions as both a soloist and chamber musician. He has appeared as a soloist with piano, wind ensembles, and symphony orchestras, while maintaining an active career in chamber music, conducting, and music education.

Driven by a passion for musical excellence and community engagement, Giuliano founded the Amici della Musica music school in his hometown of Civitella Messer Raimondo, where he served as Artistic Director and conductor of the Amici della Musica Concert Band from 2007 to 2015.

Among the highlights of his career in Italy, Giuliano conducted the Amici della Musica Concert Band during a General Audience with Pope Benedict XVI in St Peter’s Square, Vatican City. He also performed with the Opera Saxophone Quartet on Italy’s national television network RAI 1 in the presence of the legendary film composer Ennio Morricone.

Since relocating to Melbourne in late 2015, Giuliano has established himself as a respected figure within Australia’s musical community. He currently serves as Music Director of the Boroondara Symphonic Band, Melbourne Tramways Band, Veneto Club Choir, and Casa D’Abruzzo Club Choir, alongside his role as an educator at Brunswick South Primary School. In 2026, he joined the Royal Australian Navy Band Melbourne as a Reservist Musician.

Giuliano sees music as a powerful means of connection, growth, and shared experience. Through his work, he strives to bring musicians and audiences together, creating meaningful artistic experiences that inspire, engage, and enrich.
