Giuliano Di Ienno is a passionate musician and educator whose work has made a meaningful impact within the music community. Originally from Civitella Messer Raimondo, Abruzzo, Italy, he holds a Master of Music (2015) and a Bachelor of Music (2013) in Saxophone from the Conservatorium of Music “Luisa D’Annunzio” in Pescara. His artistic development was further enriched through participation in numerous international saxophone masterclasses with distinguished performers and teachers.

Driven by a strong commitment to music education, he founded the “Amici della Musica” music school in his hometown, where he served as Artistic Director and conducted both a marching band and a concert band from 2007 to 2015. Throughout his career, he has held various teaching roles, consistently dedicating himself to mentoring and inspiring the next generation of musicians.

​

Since relocating to Melbourne, Australia in late 2015, Giuliano has become an active and respected contributor to the local music scene. He currently serves as Music Director of the Boroondara Symphonic Band, Melbourne Tramways Band, Veneto Club Choir, and Casa D’Abruzzo Club Choir. He also works at Brunswick South Primary School and performs regularly as a freelance saxophonist and conductor.

In 2026, he commenced service as a Reservist Musician with the Royal Australian Navy Band Melbourne, further expanding his professional performance career in Australia.

​

As a performer, Giuliano has appeared as a soloist with piano, wind ensembles, and symphony orchestras, and has been involved in a wide range of chamber groups and bands. He has received several first prizes in national and international competitions.

​

Among his most notable performances was conducting the “Amici della Musica” Concert Band during a General Audience with Pope Benedict XVI in St Peter’s Square. He also performed with the Opera Saxophone Quartet on Italy’s RAI 1 television channel, with the honour of playing in the presence of the legendary composer Ennio Morricone.

​

Through his work as a performer, conductor, and educator, Giuliano remains deeply committed to sharing his passion for music and continues to explore new artistic and professional opportunities.
